Job Description

Quesnay is looking for self-motivated, team oriented, intellectually curious individuals with exceptional critical thinking and organizational skills who have experience within consulting or corporate innovation.

The Strategy & Innovation Manager will manage and help execute consulting projects and crowdsourced programs from end-to-end, including strategy, design, analysis, program management, and execution. We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly proactive professional who has had professional experience leading projects, building and managing client relationships, and is comfortable on a small team. If you're extremely organized, resourceful, have project management (not IT) experience and can contribute to a growing company, this one’s for you.

 
 

Job Responsibilities

Project Management & Client Management

  • Scope and define type and amount of internal and external resources required

  • Lead the execution of the project

  • Ensure internal and external timelines are met

  • Manage day-to-day client interaction and expectations

  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs & evaluate alternative solutions

  • Proactively report project status, sharing issues and opportunities with internal team, proactively anticipating and implementing changes needed to meet goals

  • Build a knowledge base of each client’s business, organization and objectives

Analysis & Strategy

  • Research and analysis on markets, trends, startups, new technology

  • Define strategy and recommended approach with supporting rationale

  • Identify & analyze partners and technical capabilities needed to launch new digital products and services

  • Present analysis & strategy to client management

  • Run basic revenue models, p/l, and cost-to-completion projections

Proposals

  • Proactively identify new areas of opportunity with existing clients

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Basic Requirements

  • MBA required

  • Professional experience in consulting project management, corporate innovation, or at an innovation-related company a must

  • Minimum of 7 years total professional experience

  • 3-4 years of experience in leading and managing complex strategic projects including the following critical skills:

    • Experience managing individual contributors

    • Ability to anticipate the needs of the client and propose ideas and solutions

    • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and within budget with internal and external resources

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a small team setting and multi-task

  • Superb PowerPoint skills

  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills

Quesnay is looking to incorporate a Marketing Associate as part of our Innovation team responsible for B2B marketing and communications and community engagement for both Quesnay innovation services as well as our clients’ innovation competitions, based in New York, NY.  We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and hardworking individual who has a passion for innovation, creative problem solver, great client relationship builder, enthusiastic about growing our innovation community, and wants to have an immediate impact on the business. The ideal candidate will be a creative, analytical and structured thinker. He/she will be able to effectively execute against Quesnay's & Quesnay's client marketing & communications goals.

 
 

Job Responsibilities

For both aspects of the business:

1. Quesnay - Marketing strategy & community building for Quesnay- plan and execute to grow Quesnay awareness in sectors of focus and ongoing marketing communications 

2. Innovation Competitions - Marketing strategy, communication, outreach, applicant recruitment, and campaign optimization for innovation competitions.   

  • Quesnay Website management & optimization to drive growth

  • Digital and social media content and campaign creation, strategy and schedule management- across email, social media, etc.

  • Ownership of Quesnay’s social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter

  • Coordinate with sponsors and clients to ensure aligned, cohesive communications pre, during & post innovation competition

  • Monthly newsletter

  • Reporting on innovation outcomes & insights gleaned from each program

  • Direct recruitment of innovation competition applicants via channels including universities, incubators, investor community, etc. via direct messaging, email communication, and event networking

  • Media agency and press relationship development

  • PowerPoint presentation creation

  • Stay up-to-date on current marketing trends

  • Supports Manager  

3. Events - coordination of monthly "Tech Talk" promotional leadership events produced by Quesnay (40-130 people)

  • Co-develop events strategy with leadership team

  • Coordinate list of invitees with team members based on event objectives, curate & prepare speakers, manage social media & invitation messaging, invitation management, & logistics with local venue partner

  • Report on KPIs, outcomes for each event for Quesnay & event sponsors

 
 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Basic Requirements

  • BA degree. MBA a plus.

  • 5 years’ experience in email and social media marketing and communications ideally in mobile/digital for B2B brands or agency related to innovation

  • Prior experience managing events

  • Superior written communication, presentation and PowerPoint skills and attention to detail

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience being involved with an innovation community or ecosystem

  • Confidently able to build and grow relationships with clients, agencies and media organizations

  • Creativity- ability to think creatively about addressing client needs and optimizing marketing for our programs

  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Hootsuite, HubSpot, MailChimp, Webinar platforms

  • Interest in building a new brand and building communities around innovation
